Hawaiian-Style Concept Advances Internal Leadership During Rapid Expansion
Mo’ Bettahs has promoted Kylee Arreaga to Vice President of Marketing, recognizing her two years of transformative leadership as the Hawaiian-style fast-casual concept speeds up its expansion across the country.
Arreaga joined the company back in September 2024 as Senior Director of Marketing, stepping into an existing group and shaping it into a robust, full-service internal department. Under her direction, the marketing arm added specialized talent across paid media, owned media, social channels, guest relations, and the Makana Rewards program. That loyalty initiative now connects with nearly 750,000 members, helping the chain stay closely tied to its main fanbase.
“Kylee is a big reason Mo’ Bettahs feels like Mo’ Bettahs in every new city we open,” said Rob Ertmann, CEO of Mo’ Bettahs. “She’s built a marketing team that brings our Aloha spirit to life for every guest, in every market. Growing our own leaders matters to us just as much as growing our footprint, and Kylee is exactly the kind of leader we want driving this brand forward.”
Strategic Growth and Market Launches at Mo’ Bettahs
Over her two-year tenure, Arreaga and her team have guided marketing operations for more than 30 new restaurant launches. That includes debuts across three brand-new markets in 2026 alone: Phoenix, Minneapolis, and most recently Indianapolis, where the brand launched its very first Indiana location in Avon. Six additional venues are slated to open before the end of the year.
“Getting to help build something this special has been the honor of my career,” said Arreaga. “Mo’ Bettahs is a category-defining brand, and I’ve watched it grow from a local favorite into a name people drive across town for, without ever losing the Aloha that makes it what it is. We’re just getting started, and I can’t wait to see how many more communities we get to welcome into the ‘Ohana.”
As the brand moves into its next chapter of nationwide growth, leadership points to Arreaga’s career progress as clear proof that it’s committing resources to internal talent right alongside its physical expansion.
