On the menu: Newk’s Pork Q, The Cuban and Newk’s refreshing Turkey Avocado
Newk’s Eatery, a fast-casual brand known for flavorful food experiences, is launching a trio of mouthwatering limited time sandwiches as part of its fall menu. The 10-year-old culinary restaurant brand, known for its diverse menu and inviting atmosphere, is rolling out the Newk’s Pork Q, The Cuban and Newk’s Turkey Avocado companywide from September through November.
“These savory sandwich entrees are Newk’s inventive takes on traditional favorites,” said Chris Newcomb, co-founder, CEO and developer of many of the company’s signature recipes. “Marinated pork played well on our fall menu last year, so we’ve brought it back as the centerpiece of this year’s LTO lineup. And the cool, fresh avocado is a great complement to the turkey and Swiss in this toasted sandwich lineup.”
Fans of the famous Newk’s Q, will enjoy this top-seller in a pork variation this fall. Newk’s Pork Q consists of layers of tender brined and marinated pork tenderloin, Applewood smoked bacon, Swiss cheese and Newk’s signature white barbecue sauce. The Cuban features the same succulent pork topped with hickory smoked ham, Swiss cheese, mustard and pickles. Debuting on Newk’s sandwich menu is the Turkey Avocado, a health conscious under 600 calorie menu option, which features layers of seasoned, oven-roasted turkey and melted Swiss cheese, and is topped with fresh avocado slices, lettuce, tomato and mayonnaise. These handmade sandwiches are toasted and served on freshly baked French bread.
Newk’s Eatery’s diverse menu of fresh tossed salads, California-style pizzas, oven baked sandwiches, made-from-scratch soups and homemade cakes are handcrafted in an open kitchen and served tableside in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. With meticulous attention to flavor and uncompromising standards for freshness, the restaurant chain has become one of the most rapidly expanding brands in the fast-casual industry.
The Jackson, Miss.-based Newk’s Eatery currently has 70 locations across 13 states and plans to open 15 locations this year, reaching 200 total restaurants by 2018. Newk’s is featured on Technomic’s list of top 50 fast-casual chains nationwide.
