Paris Baguette Expands Texas Footprint with New Plano Bakery Café

Local Entrepreneurs Bring the Paris Baguette Experience to Plano

Paris Baguette Expands Texas Footprint with New Plano Bakery CaféPlano locals have a new spot to grab a fresh pastry and catch up over coffee. Paris Baguette recently opened its doors on State Highway 121, bringing a delicious lineup of artisan cakes, breads, and handcrafted drinks to the neighborhood. With more than 300 bakery cafes across North America and over 4,000 globally, the brand is on a serious growth track, and this latest Texas location is a key piece of that puzzle.

The new cafe is spearheaded by franchise owners CJ Singh and Punya Kushalappa. Both bring a wealth of corporate leadership and restaurant experience to the table. Singh balances his time as a senior vice president for a global tech firm alongside co-owning a Dallas-Fort Worth restaurant group. Kushalappa serves as the global head of human resources for an IT company while also helping guide their restaurant projects. Their joint venture into the bakery business came from a genuine love for great coffee and warm hospitality.

Paris Baguette Builds Partnerships Over Coffee

“Some partnerships are built in conference rooms. Ours was built over coffee,” Singh and Kushalappa shared. “Our shared passion for coffee and hospitality inspired us to create a place where people can slow down, connect, and enjoy exceptional food and beverages together. Paris Baguette was the perfect fit because they reflect the quality, warmth, and sense of community we value, and we’re excited to bring that experience to Plano.”

This opening marks the 27th location in Texas for the company. It’s a major step in their ambitious plan to hit 1,000 locations throughout the U.S. and Canada by 2030. The franchise relies heavily on partnering with driven local owners who genuinely want to build community hubs.

“We’re on a mission to re-establish the neighborhood bakery café as the heart of the community across the U.S., and we’re excited to see CJ and Punya bring this to life in their local trade area,” says Darren Tipton, Chief Executive Officer. “In our cafes we like to say, ‘Happy to see you. Happier to serve you.’ And we know CJ and Punya will wholeheartedly embrace this approach in their neighborhood.”
