The Award-Winning casual-dining franchise Quaker Steak & Lube, known for its Best Wings USA and more than 20 sauces, continues its Texas takeover with the grand opening of its newest restaurant in Plano, Texas. The restaurant, located at SH 121 at Parkwood, will open to the public on Jan. 24.

The Plano restaurant has created close to 200 jobs for the area and is the third Quaker Steak & Lube location to open in Texas. The new Lube encompasses an 8,000 square-foot design while accommodating seating for more than 360 people including a 1,000 square-foot brickyard patio, two full-service bars and over 34 flat screen TVs.

In June 2012, the company launched its Texas invasion and announced plans to open 10 new restaurants throughout the area, two of which are currently open in Carrollton and Waco.

The Plano Independent School District (ISD) serves 55,302 students in 71 schools located in approximately 100 square miles of southwest Collin County. The compelling decor combined with its craveable food and supercharged events has created a cult-like following for The Lube, as fans call it, for more than 38 years.  Highlights of the Plano Lube include signature memorabilia such as a Texas Legends Dragster, a 1984 Corvette, a NASCAR hanging from the ceiling, local sports jerseys and two Harley-Davidson motorcycles. The restaurant will also hold weekly supercharged events including: Make a Difference Mondays, All You Can Eat Wings on Tuesday, Breaded Boneless Thursdays and Kids Eat Free Sundays.
