New Limited-Time, Movie-Inspired Menu Item Dares Guests Who Like it Hot
Think you can handle the heat? Quiznos, home of the hot toasted sub, is putting guests’ tolerance for spice to the test! Quiznos newest culinary creation, the SatisFIRE, incorporates two varieties of hot peppers and draws inspiration from the brand’s new partnership with 20th Century Fox’s film Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials, in theaters Sept. 18. This is Quiznos first partnership with a major motion picture studio and movie release.
The SatisFIRE features Quiznos signature slow-roasted pulled pork, honey ham, smoky bacon and melted cheddar cheese, topped with sautéed onions, fresh jalapeños, pickles, lettuce and tomatoes. A unique Serrano pepper aioli finishes it off, all piled between two slices of fresh Ciabatta bread.
“We are excited to be tying in with Fox and Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials,” said Susan Lintonsmith, Quiznos chief marketing officer. “We played off the ‘Scorch’ undertones of the film to develop a limited-time toasted sandwich that is not only hot from a temperature perspective, but also brings the heat up the spice scale. Spicy menu offerings are on trend and the SatisFIRE delivers on its name with fresh sliced jalapenos and Serrano pepper aioli. It’s an amazingly tasty sandwich!”
The new limited-time offer is available Aug. 31 in stores nationwide. Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials is the highly anticipated sequel to the hit film Maze Runner. The film is based on the best-selling novel The Scorch Trials, written by James Dashner. Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials hits theaters everywhere Sept. 18.

Toasty.TV released its newest installment titled “The Burn Trials” Sept. 8 in partnership with Twentieth Century Fox. In the parody, Quiznos playfully combines the highly anticipated Maze Runner sequel, Scorch Trials, with scenes typical of the Burning Man festival.
“Our core digital goals revolve around getting our fans to truly engage with Quiznos online and as a result, share our brand,” said Chris Ruszkowski, Quiznos vice president of advertising and marketing. “Toasty.TV and the content housed on the site help us achieve that goal, validated by the large increases in visits to our online store locator each time we release new original content like ‘The Burn Trials’.”
