Sweet Treats, Watermelon Sips, and Tabletop Wine Service Highlight the August Lineup
Sweet banana accents are taking top billing at Ruby Slipper, as the popular breakfast-and-lunch spot rolls out a limited-time collection of desserts, cold watermelon drinks, and a shareable table feature.
Guests visiting this month can check out five new and returning menu items:
-
Banana Cloud Beignets ($7.25): Classic New Orleans-style pastries topped with banana whipped mascarpone, salted caramel drizzle, white chocolate ganache, and powdered sugar.
-
Iced Banana Cream Latte ($7): Rich espresso combined with creamy banana milk and finished with salted caramel.
-
Watermelon Revival ($11.50): A lively cocktail mixing Buffalo Trace Bourbon, Aperol/Peychaud’s Aperitivo, fresh lime juice, and Watermelon Red Bull.
-
Watermelon Limeade Refresher ($6): Scratch-made limeade infused with Watermelon Red Bull for an alcohol-free boost.
-
Sparkling for All ($20): A full bottle of sparkling wine paired with fresh strawberries, blueberry compote, and a choice of two juices (orange, watermelon-pomegranate, or blueberry-lavender) to build custom brunch toasts.
Whether you’re stopping by for a quick mid-week meal or gathering with friends over the weekend, these seasonal additions offer plenty of variety.
“Banana has a way of bringing people back to their favorite desserts and familiar flavors,” said Chef Marla Chua, culinary director for Ruby Slipper. “Whether it’s banana pudding, banana cream pie or a favorite childhood treat, it has a way of making people smile. We paired those flavors with watermelon drinks and our Sparkling for All bottle service to create a menu that’s playful, shareable and meant to be enjoyed together.”
