Popular New Orleans-Style Café Adds Savory Pasta, Pumpkin Beignets, and Early Morning Deals
Fall flavors are officially arriving at the table, and Ruby Slipper is bringing a mix of sweet pumpkin creations, morning savings, and savory comfort food to its autumn offerings.
Leading the new additions is the cafe’s very first pasta creation, Pumpkin Ravioli. Coming in at $16.50, this dish features cheese-filled ravioli tossed with bacon and Parmesan in a smooth pumpkin cream sauce, topped with roasted pepitas for extra texture.
After making a splash in September, the Patty Melt ($15) is sticking around a bit longer thanks to customer demand. It features two seared beef patties topped with melted American and pepper jack cheeses, caramelized onions, and remoulade served on toasted sourdough.
Early Weekday Savings at Ruby Slipper
For early risers stopping by Monday through Friday, the café is launching its Rise & Ruby Sunrise Special from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. For $10, guests dining in get the Sunrise Standard plate:
- Two Eggs: Prepared any style you like.
- Choice of Meat: Pick between bacon, pork sausage, or chicken sausage.
- Sides Included: A buttermilk pancake paired with fresh fruit.
- Drink Choice: Includes your pick of hot or iced coffee.
“We always want to give our guests more reasons to choose Ruby throughout the week,” said Chef Marla Chua, culinary director for Ruby Slipper. “We’re always thinking about how we can build on what guests already love while creating room to try something different. This time, that meant extending an overwhelmingly popular lunch item and finding a way to add value for guests looking to start their day with us midweek.”
Sweet Treats and Drinks at Ruby Slipper
Pumpkin lovers have plenty of sweet options to check out this autumn. The Pumpkin Praline Beignets ($7.25) take classic warm beignets and coat them in pumpkin mascarpone, pecan praline sauce, and a tart raspberry pomegranate coulis.
“Pumpkin is usually associated with the sweeter side of fall, but it’s a surprisingly versatile ingredient,” Chua added. “We wanted to play with that this year and show how well it can work in both sweet and savory forms.”
Other fall releases hitting the table include:
- Pumpkin Bread Pudding Pancakes ($12.50): Stacked high with spiced pecan praline sauce and whipped pumpkin mascarpone.
- Pumpkin Spice Latte ($6.50): Espresso mixed with milk, pumpkin spice syrup, and whipped cream.
- Pumpkin Cream Chai Latte ($6.50): Chai tea paired with milk, cream, and a layer of pumpkin cold foam.
- Whipped Raspberry Pomegranate Mimosa ($10): Sparkling wine blended with fruit purée, lemon, coconut, and cold foam.
These fall features hit participating locations starting Sept. 30 for a limited time.
