Since its founding in 2000, Salsarita’s has stayed true to its founding principles of community engagement and corporate responsibility through a number of philanthropic and volunteer efforts. Now, during the month of September, Salsarita’s will continue the fast casual Mexican restaurant’s pledge to giving back to the community when it participates in the nationwide “No Kid Hungry” campaign, its third consecutive year doing so.
Throughout the month of September, all Salsarita’s restaurants will distribute flyers directing customers to a customer survey on its website at http://salsaritas.com/talk. For each survey completed, Salsarita’s will donate $1 to the “No Kid Hungry” campaign, an initiative which seeks to ensure that every child in America has consistent access to nutritious food.
Additionally, during September participating restaurants will donate 100% of the proceeds from sales of Salsarita’s signature dessert item, Poquitos, its take on the classic churro. Participating restaurants are located throughout North Carolina, South Carolina, New York, and Maryland.
Salsarita’s Fresh Cantina offers Mexican favorites such as five flavorful house-made salsas, custom burritos, tacos, nachos and salads made fresh to order with an extensive selection of proteins, toppings and fillings. Founded in 2000, Salsarita’s was acquired by franchise industry veteran Phil Friedman in 2011. Operating more than 70 locations in 17 states, including seven that are company-owned, Salsarita’s expects to have about 300 locations nationwide within five to six years.
