“Yonkers is the perfect market for Dickey’s Barbecue because there is no other restaurant like it in the area,” said local owner Yves Le Breton. “There are places that call themselves ‘barbecue’, but what they do is burgers, ribs and chicken wings. That’s not real barbecue, and many people have been waiting for a place that smokes meats low and slow on-site like Dickey’s.”
Friday, come on in for Dickey’s Barbecue merchandise giveaways. Saturday, radio station Nash FM 94.7 will be onsite from noon to 2:00p.m and this location will be serving $2 pulled pork barbecue sandwiches. There will also be a lucky winner chosen for a $500 gift card.
Before owning a Dickey’s Barbecue, Le Breton worked in the beauty industry for over 20 years for brands like Clinique, Origins and La Prairie. Dickey’s Barbecue Pit in Yonkers is located at 1789 Central Park Avenue and the store phone number is 914.509.6569. This is the 5th Dickey’s Barbecue Pit in New York.

Dickey’s Barbecue was founded by Travis Dickey with the goal of authentic slow smoked barbecue. More than 72 years later, the Dallas-based family-run barbecue franchise still offers a quality selection of signature meats, home style sides, tangy barbecue sauce and free kids meals every Sunday. All meats are slow smoked on-site in each restaurant. The fast casual family-friendly concept has expanded to over 380 locations in 43 states and holds the title of the world’s largest barbecue franchise. This year Technomic named Dickey’s “Fastest-growing restaurant in the country” and they were also named “Best Franchise Deal” by QSR Magazine.
