With back-to-school season in full swing and new starts in store for both students and parents, SONIC Drive-In is declaring Tuesday, Sept. 4, National Back-to-School Day and offering its entire lineup of breakfast burritos for half price all day. With a fresh start to the school year, SONIC wants customers to get off to the right start with the most important meal of the day. SONIC is also introducing new Flatmelt Sandwiches and Breakfast Burrito varieties to its menu for a limited time.
“Our breakfast burritos have become an iconic part of the SONIC menu over the years,” said SONIC Chief Marketing Officer James O’Reilly. “They’re delicious morning, noon and night, which makes them a perfect choice to delight taste buds for half the price on SONIC’s National Back-to-School Day.”
The new Flatmelt Sandwiches mark a venture into new and delicious territory for SONIC. Perfect for lunch or dinner, each Flatmelt Sandwich fits neatly in hand and makes BBQ flavor accessible to on-the-go appetites.
- Hickory Steak & Bacon Flatmelt: Marinated sirloin steak, crisp bacon, Cheddar cheese, Hickory BBQ sauce and grilled onions wrapped in a soft, warm flatbread.
- Hickory Chicken & Bacon Flatmelt: Grilled or crispy all-white meat chicken breast, crisp bacon, cheddar cheese, Hickory BBQ sauce and grilled onions wrapped in a soft, warm flatbread.
The two new breakfast burrito varieties will join the likes of the Ultimate Meat & Cheese Breakfast Burrito, Steak & Egg Breakfast Burrito and SuperSONIC Breakfast Burrito for a limited time. The breakfast burritos and full SONIC menu are available all day.
- Zesty Cheesesteak Breakfast Burrito: Marinated sirloin steak, zesty cheese sauce, grilled onions, golden tots, fluffy eggs and melty cheddar cheese wrapped in a warm flour tortilla.
- Smoked Chipotle Breakfast Burrito: Marinated sirloin steak, smoked chipotle sauce, jalapenos, grilled onions, golden tots, fluffy eggs and melty cheddar cheese wrapped in a warm flour tortilla.
