Fresh Smoothies and Handcrafted Acai Bowls Arrive in Northern Virginia
Juice and smoothie fans in Northern Virginia have a fresh reason to celebrate this month. South Block is opening its newest shop in Gainesville on Saturday, Aug. 8. Located in the Promenade Commons development, the shop introduces the brand’s popular lineup of handcrafted acai bowls, made-to-order smoothies, and cold-pressed juices to the local community.
To mark the launch, opening day festivities kick off at 11 a.m. with a neighborhood block party. The first 100 guests through the doors will score a free Mini Warrior Acai Bowl, while the first 50 receive a custom embroidered mini tote bag. Visitors can also enjoy a live DJ, exclusive swag drops, and surprise giveaways throughout the day.
As one of Northern Virginia’s rapidly growing suburbs, Gainesville offers a lively mix of families, outdoor lovers, and working professionals.

Every item on the menu relies on real, high-quality ingredients prepared fresh to order. Options range from signature acai bowls and cold-pressed juices to craveable toasts and protein-packed smoothies designed for on-the-go fuel.
The new shop represents the company’s 27th spot across Washington, D.C., Maryland, Virginia, and North Carolina. Operating hours are:
