SPIN! Neapolitan Pizza to Open Second Southern California Restaurant on January 21 in Los Alamitos

Award-winning SPIN! Neapolitan Pizza, featuring an artisan menu of authentic Neapolitan-style pizza, salads, sandwiches, and gelato, will open its second Orange County location on January 21 in Los Alamitos. Founded in 2005 in Kansas City, Mo., by restaurant industry veterans Gail and Richard Lozoff and Edwin Brownell, SPIN! has six locations in Kansas and Missouri. In May 2013, SPIN!’s first franchisee, Hofman Hospitality Group (HHG), opened the first Southern California location at the Stadium Promenade in Orange, near the Honda Center and the Angels Stadium of Anaheim.

HHG, headquartered in Signal Hill, Calif., plans to open a total of 37 SPIN! restaurants in Southern California during the next five to 10 years, including one at Bella Terra outdoor shopping mall in Huntington Beach due to open this spring. HHG also owns 18 Lucille’s Smokehouse Bar-B-Que locations in California, Arizona and Nevada, and four Hof’s Hut restaurants in Southern California.

With recipes developed by James Beard Award-winning Chef Michael Smith, SPIN!’s menu has broad appeal and features authentic Neapolitan pizza, appetizers, soups, salads, signature Panini and Italian deli sandwiches, and gelato.

SPIN! offers a diverse selection of hand-spun, stone-fired, traditional thin-and-bubbly crust, rustic whole-wheat crust, and gluten-free pizzas. SPIN!’s pizza dough is made fresh every day using several types of flour including one imported directly from Italy, and its gluten-free crust is renowned for its flavor. SPIN! takes great pride in roasting all toppings and ingredients in its stone hearth ovens each day, including mushrooms, caramelized onions, artichokes, and even capers, pecans, pineapples, pine nuts, and pancetta. SPIN! serves a variety of affordable premium wines priced well below traditional restaurant prices. SPIN! also makes homemade white, red and blood orange sangrias and offers a selection of craft beers.
