TGI Fridays Teams Up with Bliss Bites LLC to Open Five New Spots and Acquire Central Islip Location
An iconic casual dining brand is ramping up its American expansion plans. TGI Fridays has signed a brand-new multi-unit agreement with Bliss Bites LLC to develop five fresh restaurants across New York State. This deal stands out as the chain’s very first domestic growth agreement in more than 10 years.
This move moves the company forward in its “1-2-3 Strategic Vision,” a long-term plan aiming to reach more than 1,000 restaurants and $2 billion in annual revenue by 2030. Built on four core pillars – re-energizing the brand, expanding into flexible markets, strengthening its franchise network, and investing in team members – the plan pairs the chain’s long history with smart growth led by franchise partners.
New York holds deep roots for the company, which first opened its doors on Manhattan’s Upper East Side back in 1965.

Experienced Leadership Driving Expansion
Bliss Bites LLC is headed by Owner and Managing Director Vinod Chand, a industry veteran who brings over 35 years of hospitality experience to the table. Beyond building five new locations over the next three years, Bliss Bites has taken over operations of the existing TGI Fridays restaurant in Central Islip, bringing its overall portfolio to six locations in the state.
Chand was drawn to the chain’s culture of celebration, bold food offerings, and strong corporate support for franchise operators.
