Cowboy Chicken Recognized as Top Restaurant Mover and Shaker for Seventh Consecutive Year

Beloved Rotisserie Chain Ranked Among Top 100 Brands by Fast Casual for Continued Growth and Enhanced Restaurant Design

Cowboy Chicken Recognized as Top Restaurant Mover and Shaker for Seventh Consecutive YearCowboy Chicken, the fast-growing restaurant chain known for its wood-fired rotisserie chicken, has been recognized once again by Fast Casual as one of the Top 100 Movers & Shakers. This is the seventh consecutive year that Cowboy Chicken has been named to this distinguished list, which celebrates innovative brands for their growth and sales accomplishments, use of technology to improve the customer experience and willingness to take risks.

In particular, Fast Casual recognized Cowboy Chicken for a new store prototype that was unveiled in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, in February 2017. The new format features two rotisseries under a single hood, front-facing ovens that serve as the focal point of the dining room and a revised footprint that increases the number of available bar seats facing the ovens.

“To be continually numbered among the top movers and shakers in our industry affirms that Cowboy Chicken’s focus on fresh, all-natural rotisserie chicken and a one-of-a-kind guest experience sets us apart,” said Sean Kennedy, president and CEO of Cowboy Chicken. “We firmly believe that our continued growth and success, and innovations like our new store prototype, set us up for even greater things in the future. The best is yet to come.”

When lauding Cowboy Chicken, Fast Casual noted the chain “uncovered operations efficiencies and saved costs with the new model and also received an incredible customer response. Efficiency, job reassignments and improved guest experiences are benefits of the new layout.” Initial guest counts have also increased at stores with the new designs compared to those at legacy units.

In addition, the entry also spotlights Cowboy Chicken’s plans to expand to 110 locations while maintaining consistent brand messaging and “its promise to exceed guest expectations.”

For more than 30 years, Cowboy Chicken has been serving all-natural, hormone-free rotisserie chickens that are hand-seasoned in store, marinated for 24 hours and then slowly roasted for two hours over a real wood-burning fire. Other dishes include signature sour cream tomatillo chicken enchiladas, abundant scratch-made sides such as Twice Baked Potaters™, Baked Mac & Cheese, Ranchero Beans and seasonal cobblers baked in-house daily. Cowboy Chicken’s hearty and healthy dishes are available during lunch and dinner for dine-in, take out, catering and delivery.

Cowboy Chicken is currently seeking qualified franchisees to help build the brand in select markets across the U.S. For more information, visit www.cowboychicken.com or contact Kathy Davidson at kdavidson@cowboychicken.com.
