Father’s Day 2012 at Arizona’s Arrowhead Grill Means Free Steak



Valley fathers will get a special treat if they’re one of the first 50 reservations made for Father’s Day at the popular Arrowhead Grill – free steak.

But it’s not just any steak. The free offer spotlights Chef Charles Schwerd’s signature Delmonico steak, a century-old recipe that harkens back to the original steak served at the Delmonico Hotel in New York City. It will be free for Dads when they buy another entree.

The Father’s Day special is limited to the first 25 morning reservations and first 25 evening reservations made at the Glendale restaurant. Reservations can be made by calling (623) 566-2224.

“It’s a great steak and a great offer,” said Schwerd of the $28 steak. “The last thing Dads should have to do on Father’s Day is man the barbecue. With our deal, they can have a prime cut of beef and spend the rest of the day watching the 2012 U.S. Open on television – either in our Arrowhead Grill bar or at home.”

The prime cuts don’t stop there though, according to Schwerd. Arrowhead Grill will also offer a special Kobe beef New York strip steak for $60 on Father’s Day. Kobe beef is among the world’s rarest meats and is dry aged to perfection by Schwerd.

“It’s a perfect cut of beef,” the legendary chef said. “Kobe beef is superior in many ways, least of which is its saturated fat level. The fat melts at a much lower temperature – around 100 degrees – so it literally melts in your mouth. You’ll be hard pressed to find another steak as delicious.”

For those who can’t make it to Arrowhead Grill for Father’s Day, Schwerd has yet another option: his secret steak seasoning for only $5 per container.

“That way, when Dad grills his next juicy steak, he’ll think of you and remember your terrific present,” Schwerd said.
