“Last year, we gave away over a thousand of our stacked grilled cheese sandwiches on National Grilled Cheese Day. That’s two miles of melted goodness, if stretched end-to-end,”said Ed Murph, owner of Norma’s Cafe. “We look forward to serving more than 1,500 sandwiches this year to our loyal customers and invite those who haven’t dined with us to come in and give us a try. Trust me, they won’t be sorry.”

The Norma’s Cafe grilled cheese sandwich features American cheese melted and grilled to perfection on buttered Texas toast. Soup is optional, but highly recommended. Both locations will be open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m., and will offer one free sandwich for every customer throughout the day. No purchase is necessary. For more information about the Norma’s Cafe on W. Davis Street or Dallas Parkway, having Norma’s Cafe cater your next meal or ordering its famous Mile-High Cream Pies, call (972) 820-5871 or visit
