Clear your schedule for the grand opening of Dickey’s Barbecue Pit in Colorado Springs on Thursday, November 15 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Customers will enjoy $1 Pulled Pork Big Barbecue sandwiches and three lucky customers will win free barbecue for an entire year. Prior to the grand opening, the Colorado Springs Regional Business Alliance will host a ribbon cutting around 10:30 a.m.

“We offer authentic pit smoked barbecue and home-style sides and we are also catering experts,” said Bob Rusnak, who owns and operates this location with his wife Barbara. “We’ve had so much fun catering the various events in our local community.”

The Rusnaks spend their time pit smoking meats, serving authentic barbecue, meeting the community and catering events around town. Before owning a Dickey’s, the Rusnaks were in the Air Force.

“The Rusnaks are enthusiastic owners,” said Roland Dickey, Jr., president of Dickey’s Barbecue Restaurants, Inc. “They’re great examples of what an owner should be like. They are constantly in their store making sure it is running smoothly and that customers are receiving the best barbecue.”
