Arooga's Raises More Than $22,000 for Breast Cancer Awareness in October FundraiserArooga’s latest fundraising endeavor has proved its most successful to date, tallying more than $22,000 for various breast cancer awareness organizations with nearly $16,000 of that to be donated to the Feel Your Boobies foundation in its fifth year of contributions to the organization.

Harrisburg, Pa based Arooga’s hosted a month-long fundraiser this past October at all locations in conjunction with its vendor partners, where $1 for every Blue Moon draft, $1 for every Dark Horse Rosé, and 10% of all “pink chip” items (Buffalo Chicken Dip, Seafood Nachos, Chips & Salsa, Street Tacos) sold was donated to the Terri Brodeur Foundation, the Gloria Gemma Foundation, and long-time organizational partner Feel Your Boobies Foundation in support of breast cancer awareness month.

“We are so appreciative of our guests for coming out in support of such an awesome cause,” said Arooga’s President and Co-Founder Gary Huether, Jr. “It’s thrilling to see our contributions to these great organizations increase year over year.”

Arooga’s annual campaign for breast cancer awareness began in 2014 with 8 of the brand’s corporate owned Pennsylvania locations in benefit of the Feel Your Boobies Foundation, an organization based in the Harrisburg, Pa area which promotes proactive breast health in women, specifically targeting younger women by outreach to colleges and universities.  The fundraiser has since grown to 19 locations in 7 states, reaching other organizations outside of Pennsylvania with similar awareness missions and raising nearly $16,000 for the Feel Your Boobies foundation this year alone.

Arooga’s is the Feel Your Boobies foundation’s largest and longest standing donor partner, and these fundraisers have helped the Harrisburg based charity to expand from the founder’s home to new offices in the area, as well as open a second office in Maryland.

“In 2019, the Foundation plans to expand our programming to target minority young women,” said Leigh Hurst, founder and President of the Feel Your Boobies foundation.  “Partnerships like the one we have with Arooga’s allows us to improve our outreach efforts to target more young women and help us save lives. We are so grateful for this ongoing support.”
