At Salsarita's Carter and Cote Are Moving UpSalsarita’s is proud to announce the promotion of two members of its corporate team. Previously serving as franchise director at Salsarita’s, Tim Carter is now vice president of administration at Salsarita’s Franchising, LLC. Mark Cote, Salsarita’s former vice president of operations, is now chief operating officer.

Previously responsible for growing the company’s footprint throughout the Southeast, as well as real estate and IT infrastructure, Mr. Carter will now be responsible for company and franchise administration. He will oversee the company’s legal, insurance, human resources, and technology functions, along with corporate real estate development. He was also integral to the founding of The Caring Cantina, Salsarita’s philanthropic effort to end homelessness.

As vice president of operations, Mr. Cote managed R&D, construction, training, catering and franchisee business consulting departments. As COO, Mr. Cote will continue his previous responsibilities, as well as lead restaurant operations which entail oversight of all company and franchise operations.

Salsarita’s Fresh Cantina offers Mexican favorites such as five flavorful house-made salsas, custom burritos, tacos, nachos and salads made fresh to order with an extensive selection of proteins, toppings and fillings. Founded in 2000, Salsarita’s was acquired by franchise industry veteran Phil Friedman in 2011. Operating more than 70 locations in 17 states, including seven that are company-owned, Salsarita’s expects to have about 300 locations nationwide within five to six years.
