Cracker Barrel invites Americans to enjoy homestyle cooking and hospitality on annual holiday
Cracker Barrel Old Country Store will celebrate National Buttermilk Biscuit Day on Saturday, May 14 by serving up plates of hot, made-from-scratch biscuits all day long. America’s expert biscuit maker serves more than 300 million biscuits annually and invites biscuit lovers to celebrate the holiday at any of its 636 locations nationwide.
Cracker Barrel has made biscuits from scratch for over 45 years with simple, high-quality ingredients. Using custom-designed rolling pins and biscuit cutters developed by Cracker Barrel many years ago, a team member carefully crafts each biscuit by hand. Each location’s dedicated biscuit oven produces a fresh batch of warm, made-from-scratch biscuits with perfectly flakey texture and thickness. Cracker Barrel’s buttermilk biscuits are handmade, so each one of the 825,000 made each day looks a little different.
On average, Cracker Barrel serves approximately 7 million servings of guest-favorite toppings strawberry, grape and blackberry jellies annually. More than 1.6 million pounds of apple butter, another staple on many guests’ plates, are also served alongside Cracker Barrel biscuits each year.
