Church's Chicken Announces Latest Houston Restaurant Opening

Convenience Store Location Marks Second Restaurant for Houston Franchisee

Church’s Chicken, the global quick service restaurant chain, opened its latest restaurant on March 27 in Houston, Texas as part of the company’s continued domestic expansion strategy. Church’s is world-renowned for their freshly-prepared original and spicy chicken and fresh-baked honey-butter biscuits made from scratch daily.

The restaurant at 9825 Jones Road is the second Church’s restaurant for Shepherd Food Investment, Inc., a   Church’s Chicken franchisee since 2011. It features Church’s Chicken’s new STAR Image Design, including new interior seating options, new exterior design and color palettes, and contemporary lighting inside and out.

“Our newest location will benefit from the steady traffic of the area,” said franchisee Salman Mohammed, President of Shepherd Food Investment, Inc. “Church’s has been very flexible and supportive with this latest concept for Shepherd Food Investment and I look forward to providing more Houston guests with great chicken experiences.”

Mohammed has many years of experience in the foodservice industry and the restaurants’ strategic location will enable him to expose a greater segment of the local market to Church’s fresh, tasty and convenient meals.  He is also a big supporter of the local community.

“Mr. Mohammed and Shepherd Food Investment exemplify the values and culture of Church’s Chicken,” said Tony Moralejo, Executive Vice President of International Business and Global Development at Church’s Chicken. “We look forward to working together as we satisfy the cravings of chicken passionates everywhere.”
