Dickey’s Barbecue is opening near Ventura College this Thursday, February 28 at 11 a.m. The first 100 guests will receive a free Pulled Pork Big Barbecue sandwich.
“Ventura is going to love Dickey’s Barbecue,” said franchise owner Steve Spittle. “At Dickey’s, we get it right every time with our authentic pit smoked barbecue and fall off the bone ribs – it melts in your mouth.”
Spittle was born and raised in Ventura County. He spent about 15 years in Nashville, TN as a professional musician. Spittle also worked as a Business Development Manager for a manufacturer in the commercial audio industry. Spittle moved back to his home town about two years ago.
“We are taking California by storm,” said Roland Dickey, Jr., president and CEO of Dickey’s Barbecue Restaurants, Inc. “We have a total of 26 locations in the state and are planning to open several more in Brea, Mountain View and Bakersfield. We are really enjoying the momentum in the state.”
