Chicken Tenders Restaurant Chain Opens First Franchise Location on the University of Central Florida Campus
Huey Magoo’s, known for its deliciously fresh chicken tenders and famous Magoo’s Sauce, has opened its first express model franchise location. Conveniently located within the main campus of the University of Central Florida’s Student Union, the new concept is already breaking system wide sales records. New franchisee AD Foodservice has added Huey Magoo’s Express model to its stable of quick serve concepts.
Huey Magoo’s UCF location is an express concept, offering a more limited menu, resulting in faster through put to guests. The express concept allows Huey Magoo’s to serve guests in thirty seconds or less. “We recognized an opportunity to achieve high sales volume due to foot traffic in venues such as student unions, airports, and malls by streamlining operations and simplifying menu options. These modifications have allowed us to accomplish our goals,” said Thad Hudgens, Huey Magoo’s President and Co-founder.
Huey Magoo’s, founded in 2004 in Oviedo, FL, currently operates two locations in the Orlando area in addition to the new express model at UCF. Huey Magoo’s will be opening an additional franchise unit later in 2013 and is poised to carry out extensive growth over the next three years in other mid and large cap markets.
