A new gelato shop is coming to Ohio. I Scream Gelato is kicking off 2023 with a new franchise location in Columbus, marking the second franchise deal closed for the brand. The latest location was purchased by Christopher and Jennifer Myers and is set to operate within Polaris Mall.
“The entire I Scream Gelato team is thrilled to bring aboard these two extremely qualified professionals to break ground in Ohio,” stated Nadav Abergel, owner of I Scream Gelato. “This is another step in the right direction for our brand as we seek to expand nationally and make a big leap in 2023.”
The newest franchise is the third for the brand, making seven total locations for I Scream Gelato in various states. The agreement was just months after the first franchise partners signed with I Scream Gelato in August for the very first two franchise stores. The first two franchise stores are located in the North Dallas area of Texas.
Future plans for the gelato franchise include an aggressive sales strategy, with several new potential franchisees already in line to come aboard this year. Not only does I Scream Gelato plan to make waves within the states, but the team is seeking international expansion too, says Abergel.
“Our hope is to bring on a new franchise partner, on average, each month,” said Abergel. “Our customers love our fast-casual, fun, friendly environment and are asking for more locations.
