Ivar’s Shells Out Free Fries in Honor of National French Fry Day

In honor of National French Fry Day, Ivar’s Seafood Bars are celebrating the golden fried potato — and favorite seagull treat — with a special free fries promotion this Friday, July 13. New and current fans can visit the Ivar’s Restaurants Facebook page (www.facebook.com/IvarsRestaurants) to claim an offer for a free side order of the classic snack. Once the offer is claimed, it will be delivered via e-mail. Customers simply print it or pull it up on a mobile device then present it at an Ivar’s Seafood Bar* for free fries.

While the voucher is only redeemable on Friday, July 13, the printable offer is available to claim now. On the big day, diners can use one voucher per person. It’s best to act fast — the offer is limited to the first 5,000 hungry fans.

“Everyone knows Ivar’s for our fish and chowder, but the ‘chips’ have always been an iconic part of our signature meal,” said Bob Donegan, president of Ivar’s. “Ivar Haglund started a decades long tradition of sharing the tasty treat with his resident Pier 54 seagulls by tossing them in air.”

With a robust selection of delicious seafood specialities like fish, prawns or clams n’ chips, and grilled platters, Ivar’s fast-casual Seafood Bars offer plenty of options to accompany a side of golden, crispy fries.
