Jamba Juice to Host National Hiring Day on March 27, 2012

Jamba Juice Company, a leading healthy, active lifestyle company, has announced that on Tuesday, March 27, 2012, it will host a National Hiring Day from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in 80 stores across the nation with a goal to recruit and hire youth for summer employment. The National Hiring Day will help Jamba support its pledge to generate over 2,500 summer jobs as part of the Obama Administration’s 2012 Summer Jobs+ campaign.

“We know the importance of helping our youth gain skills and valuable work experience that is critical to their career success,” said James D. White, Chairman, President, and CEO, Jamba Juice Company. “Summer is a busy season for our company and with recent expansion into new markets we are in need of dedicated and qualified team members. We are honored to once again stand with the Obama Administration in their efforts to curb youth unemployment across the nation.”

“It is so encouraging to see companies all across America answering the call and showing their support for America’s youth through the Summer Jobs+ initiative,” said U.S. Secretary of Labor Hilda L. Solis. “Over the last two years, Jamba Juice has been a fantastic partner in expanding summer work opportunities for young people and developing an innovative internship program with the Treasure Island Job Corps center. I’m thrilled that they are once again demonstrating their commitment through this national hiring day,” added Solis.

This is Jamba’s second year participating in the Obama Administration’s Summer Jobs initiative. Last Spring, Jamba Juice stepped forward and committed to hire 2,500 young people across the country. With the help of their franchise partners, the Company exceeded their 2011 goal by several hundred hires.
