Home of the Original American Taco to Open New Sacramento Location this Summer
Jimboy’s Tacos, Home of the Original American Taco, is excited to announce it will open a new Sacramento location in late August. The new restaurant is located in the Marconi Square Shopping Center on the corner of Marconi Ave. and Eastern Ave., and will be operated by longtime Jimboy’s Tacos franchise partner, Gary Perez along with his son and business partner, Michael. Opening their first Jimboy’s Tacos franchise in 1980, the father and son team now operate eight locations throughout Northern California, with plans to open another in Rancho Cordova in the Anatolia area east of Mather this fall.

First served in 1954 from a food trailer in Tahoe, Jimboy’s signature taco quickly gained a loyal following. The Original Ground Beef Taco is made fresh with ground beef, American cheese and lettuce stuffed in a crispy stone-ground corn shell that’s dusted with parmesan cheese. Today, Jimboy’s fans can enjoy freshly prepared favorites including grilled burritos, taco salads and other signature items you can only find at Jimboy’s, like the Tacoburger.
