KFC is reshaping the end of the week with the nationwide launch of “Sundays by KFC,” a recurring digital initiative designed to turn Sundays into a comfort-first ritual. Originally introduced as a pop-up in New York City, the program is now expanding to offer fans across the country app-based deals that provide a satisfying way to close out the weekend.
Comfort Without the Guilt
The launch comes at a time when many consumers are navigating the “Sunday Scaries” and rigid New Year’s resolutions. According to recent data, 58% of people who set food goals feel guilty when they break them, yet many see Sunday as a natural time to relax or reward themselves. “Sundays by KFC” aims to embrace these cravings by pairing real comfort with intentional value.
“We didn’t want Sunday to feel like a cheat day,” said Melissa Cash, KFC U.S. CMO. “We wanted it to feel intentional. ‘Sundays by KFC’ is about pairing real comfort with real value, without asking people to compromise or feel guilty about it.”

In preparation for football’s biggest night, KFC is also introducing a shareable game day meal. Starting February 2, fans can access a deal for 20 Wings for $20, including four dip cups and a choice of Hot & Spicy or Honey BBQ flavors. This offer provides approximately 20% savings compared to purchasing items individually and is designed specifically for Sunday watch parties on February 8.
