Logan’s Roadhouse today announced that John Laporte has been named Chief Information Officer, responsible for all company strategic IT plans and processes.
He will report to President and CEO Sam Borgese. Laporte was mostly recently Vice President, Information Technology, for the El Pollo Loco restaurants. He is a restaurant industry veteran with more than 20 years’ experience in IT leadership roles.
“John will be a great asset to our company and we believe his experience and skills will help us achieve our strategic goals,” said Borgese. “Our entire leadership team is committed and capable, and we welcome John as a new and valued member of that team.” Besides his position with El Pollo Loco, Laporte also worked with Grill Concepts and Catalina Restaurant Group, Del Taco and Carl Karcher Enterprises, among others.
An active contributor to IT industry groups, Laporte has also earned certification in project management, information systems management and CIW MS Web.
