Burger enthusiasts in Federal Way have something new to drool over. MOOYAH, a fast-casual, “better burger,” fries and shakes chain, has opened its newest location at 1706 South 320th Street, Suite A, Federal Way, WA. To celebrate the new opening, MOOYAH of Federal Way held a ribbon cutting ceremony on April 14. The first 50 customers in line received free MOOYAH for a year.
“We’ve heard the demands and now we are very pleased to open our first location in Federal Way,” said Alexis Barnett Gillette, director of marketing for MOOYAH. “We just know the entire community is going to absolutely love our burgers, fries and shakes.”
The MOOYAH of Federal Way is owned and operated by Peter Marthedal & Sebastian Brost, experienced entrepreneurs owning a number of other fast casual restaurants in Washington.
“I couldn’t be more excited for the opportunity to bring MOOYAH to Federal Way,” said Peter Marthedal. “We plan to become deeply ingrained in the community in every way possible, and I can’t wait to serve all of our friends and neighbors here in Federal Way.”
At MOOYAH, guests choose from a freshly-baked white or whole wheat bun or a hand-leafed lettuce wrap, to opting for never-frozen 100 percent American beef, Jennie-O turkey, or the delectable veggie burger. Each burger comes with the choice of unlimited veggies and a choice of nine sauces.
MOOYAH French fries come together in a six-step process that takes 24 hours, constant attention and a little magic to transform fresh spuds into the perfect combination of crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside. In addition to customizable burgers and fries, MOOYAH offers handmade shakes, where guests can choose from classic flavors like vanilla and chocolate, or opt for some of the restaurant’s new toppings that include cookie dough, heath, peanut butter cups and more.
“Bringing MOOYAH to Washington was a natural choice for us as we continue to expand across the country,” said Michael Mabry, Director of Franchise for MOOYAH. “This new location is the first in many to come in the area as we look ahead to continue our aggressive expansion plans.”
Founded in Dallas in 2007, MOOYAH set out to deliver a simple American favorite not only made well, but also produced in a friendly, service-oriented setting. Seeing incredible growth in 2012, MOOYAH executives enjoyed extreme expansion that included 20+ new units. In 2013, the brand has grown to more than 50 locations, and expects to double in size again, as many new restaurants open in markets across the country.
