Award-winning, Latin-inspired burger concept celebrates arrival to the Houston area with its grand opening June 23 – and by giving FREE PINCHO Burgers to the first 100 people in line
PINCHO – the renowned Miami-based burger and kebab concept – is thrilled to introduce its bold, Latin-inspired takes on American classics to the Lone Star State. After successfully captivating South Florida with its distinctive flavors, PINCHO is now expanding its presence with a new location in Cypress — marking the first of six locations coming to the Houston area.
Recently voted as a Top 100 Best Burger Joint in the U.S. by Yelp, PINCHO will open its doors for a special VIP Event Day for the community Thursday, June 22 at 8828 Barker Cypress Road, Ste. 80 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., and again from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
On Friday, June 23, the brand will celebrate its grand opening at 11:00 a.m. with a live DJ, giving away FREE PINCHO Burgers to the first 100 people in line and offering $5 PINCHO burgers all day (limit 2 per person). There will be a ribbon-cutting ceremony with the Cypress Chamber of Commerce along with games where guests can win merch and prizes.
“PINCHO’s journey to Texas marks an exciting new chapter for us,” said PINCHO Co-Founder Otto Othman. “It’s an honor to serve and support the Houston area, and we’re thrilled to bring our beloved brand to such a diverse community. We look forward to creating memorable dining experiences and introducing the distinctive elements that have made PINCHO one of Miami’s favorite burgers and kebabs!”
PINCHO is proud to be investing in the Houston community with give-back campaigns and local vendors. For its buns, it will partner with the well-known Houston bakery Bread Man Baking Co. to power up its award-winning burgers. Additionally, PINCHO will donate 100% of its net profits on opening day to Cy-Hope, which supports underserved children and schools in Cypress. PINCHO will also offer a 10% discount for all first responders year-round.
The new Cypress location features PINCHO’s 2.0 design, which perfectly exports the vibrant culture of Miami to Texas. From neon signs to colorful murals, painted by local Miami artists, every inch of PINCHO is a vibe – with the walls as bright and beautiful as its food.
Famous for its mouthwatering burgers, kebabs (aka pinchos), fried cheese, and bowls, PINCHO quickly went from an insiders’ secret obsession to a popular local hot spot. It won the hearts and tastebuds of families, foodies, and industry pros – and has won accolades every year of its 13-year history. It was honored as the first Miami brand to ever win Burger Bash at the South Beach Wine and Food Festival, competing against brands all over the country. It’s also a five-time winner of Burgerliscious.
PINCHO is something uniquely Miami and — like the city of its birth — beautifully international. Founded by Otto Othman, Nedal Ahmad, and Nizar Ahmad in 2010, PINCHO was inspired by Otto’s mother’s famous kebabs (aka pinchos) and a Latin take on the classic American burger. Serving a gorgeous feast of fast, flavorful fusion, PINCHO quickly expanded to 10 popular locations throughout Florida. The beloved brand has won the coveted SOBEWFF Food Network Burger Bash twice, has been named Top 100 Fast Casual in the U.S. and has been included in numerous TOP 10 foodie lists which has attracted families and foodies alike from all over the U.S. After an investment from Savory Fund in 2021, PINCHO is now expanding to new horizons across the country — starting with Houston, Texas in 2023.
