PJ’s Coffee, the iconic New Orleans-born brand celebrated for its small-batch roasting and signature cold-drip process, is officially arriving in Gulfport. The brand will celebrate the grand opening of its first Gulfport location on Saturday, December 20, at 9347 U.S. 49.
A Warm Welcome to the Coast
To mark the occasion, the shop will host a community celebration from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Attendees are invited to mingle and enjoy complimentary samples of fresh pastries and select signature beverages, available while supplies last.
The new location is led by franchisee Wendy J. Bowen, a New Orleans native who transitioned to the coffee industry after a 20-year career in commercial insurance. Bowen’s deep personal connection to the brand’s French Quarter roots inspired her to bring PJ’s community-focused atmosphere to the Mississippi coast.
“I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to open my own PJ’s Coffee across state lines,” said Bowen. “New Orleans will always hold a special place in my heart, and this brand represents everything I love about home. My goal is to create an inviting gathering place for residents, visitors, and anyone looking for a great cup of coffee.”

The remodeled 2,800-square-foot coffee shop is designed for versatility, featuring a spacious interior and a convenient drive-thru. Located just half a mile from the Gulfport Premium Outlets, it serves as an ideal stop for shoppers, commuters, and local students.
