PJ’s Coffee is officially bringing the flavors of New Orleans to Statesboro, celebrating the grand opening of its newest Georgia location at 23 Independence Way this Friday, Dec. 19. To mark the occasion, the brand is hosting a community celebration from 10 a.m. to noon, offering complimentary samples of signature beverages and fresh pastries while supplies last.
The new location represents a strategic expansion for local owners Thomas Scarborough and Jeramie Martin, who are already well-known in the Statesboro business community as the operators of the local Huey Magoo’s.
Local Ownership and Community Commitment
For Scarborough and Martin, the decision to bring PJ’s Coffee to “the Boro” was rooted in a shared appreciation for Southern hospitality and brand authenticity.
“Statesboro is my hometown, so getting to bring brands we genuinely believe in back to this community means a lot to me,” said Scarborough. “When we visited PJ’s for the first time, we felt that same quality and welcoming ambiance we loved building with Huey Magoo’s. PJ’s has an energy and authenticity that fits Statesboro perfectly.”

The Statesboro location is designed primarily for convenience, featuring a high-efficiency drive-thru that serves the brand’s specialty small-batch roasts. The menu highlights New Orleans traditions and signature offerings, including:

The new drive-thru will operate with the following schedule to accommodate both the early morning commute and afternoon guests: Monday through Saturday from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sundays from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.
