After a strategic closing, all-new restaurant will unveil redesigned interiors, lower prices and new promotional offerings to accommodate demands of dining community

Reservations are now being accepted for opening night of the all-new Red, The Steakhouse Boca Raton on Friday, Oct. 11. Be the first to experience Red’s revival as the restaurant unveils extensive improvements to satisfy the demands of area patrons. Despite the wildly successful South Beach location, Red Boca Raton received a lukewarm response from the community when it opened in 2012. So owners made a strategic decision to officially close Red from Sunday, Oct. 6, to Thursday, Oct. 10, with the mantra of “out with the old, in with the new.”

“One wouldn’t imagine that a high-end steakhouse affectionately ranked ‘the authority on steak’ and one of the most sought-out experiences in the country by Forbes, Playboy, Esquire and USA Today would ever have to shut its doors in Boca Raton,” says owner and restaurateur Brad Friedlander. “Now we’re going to put a vibrant new Red forward.”

The enhanced Red customer experience will start with pricing, which has been re-evaluated and lowered throughout the menu to suit the Boca Raton market. Guests should expect Red’s respected approach to culinary perfection, including being one of only four restaurants in the country to serve Certified Angus Beef Prime steak, a quality distinction met by less than 1.5% of all beef.

Dramatic physical changes at Red will start at your arrival, where new signage, lush foliage, atmospheric lighting and lounge seating have been added. Red’s secretive entrance has been reconfigured to improve its flow, and the bar area has been expanded to accommodate more patrons and executive happy hours. The revamped dining room offers more private seating, while the glass-enclosed VIP room has been enlarged. New second-floor banquet facilities, accessed by a private elevator from the restaurant lobby, feature state-of-the-art audio-visual capabilities and overlook a revitalized pool area. Red’s banquet room renovations will be completed Nov. 1, just in time for holiday, corporate and social functions, including bar/bat mitzvahs, weddings and rehearsal dinners, making it one of the few restaurants and steakhouses in the area able to accommodate parties of 20 to 150+ people.

“We came to Boca at the request of many of our loyal patrons from Ohio who felt Red’s genuine approach to hospitality and authentic CAB Prime offerings would fill a void in the market,” says CFO/COO Jonathan B. Gross. “We came in at too high of a price point, misjudging which delicacies Boca Raton would be willing to pay for. We’ve since reworked our offerings to include added value without compromising quality and are devoted to making this work.”

Red also insists on using only the finest ingredients from around the world, with all menu components made from scratch, explains partner and Executive Chef Peter Vauthy. Red is the only restaurant in Boca Raton that serves Certified Angus Beef Prime, lauded for its marbling and flavor. The modern steakhouse menu comprises such highlights as live Maine lobster, only wild salmon, organic chicken, fresh (never frozen) Alaskan king crab and steaks that have been wet aged twice as long as average. The extensively trained waitstaff provides attentive, knowledgeable service.

Guests looking to try the all-new Red may opt for the new Executive Trio menu, a $49-per-person three-course dinner suited for executives and early diners. Offered 5-7 p.m. daily, menu options include steak and seafood entrées, as well as choice of red or white wine, soft drink or coffee.

“We’re looking for Boca Raton to give us a second chance to make a first impression,” says Friedlander.
