Orlando, FL-based BUCA DI BEPPO (founded 1993) has increased by 1 unit, from 94 to 95 (1% growth).  These upscale Italian restaurants are open for dinner only, with a $15-$50+ per person check average.  The restaurants have full bar service and seat about 350.  Catering, banquet and online ordering services are available.  Locations are in AZ, CA, CO, DC, FL, GA, HI, IL, IN, KY, MA, MD, MI, MN, MO, NC, NM, NV, NY, OH, PA, TN, TX, UT, WA, WI, England, and Mexico.  Buca Di Beppo is a subsidiary of Planet Hollywood.

Bloomington, IL-based BIAGGI’S RISTORANTE ITALIANO (founded 1998) has increased by 3 units, from 21 to 24 (14% growth).  This is a family/casual Italian concept, open for lunch and dinner, with a $10-$30 per person check average.  The restaurants have full bar and seating for about 250.  Catering and banquet services are available.  Trading areas are CO, IA, IL, IN, MN, MS, NC, NE, NY, OH, UT, and WI.

San Francisco, CA-based PACIFIC CATCH (founded 2003) has increased by 1 unit, from 3 to 4 (33% growth).  This family/casual seafood concept is open for lunch and dinner, with a $10-$30 per person check average.  Locations have full bar and seating for about 100.  Catering, banquet, and online ordering services are available.  All locations are in CA.

TACO BOY of Grand Rapids, MI has increased by 1 unit, from 5 to 6 (20% growth).  These are take-out restaurants with limited seating.  Meal periods are lunch and dinner.  Per person check average is around $2-$6.  Take-out and drive-thru services are offered.  All locations are in MI.

Houston, TX-based SALATA (founded 2005) has increased by 4 units, from 9 to 13 (44% growth) and entered into CA.  This fast casual salad concept is open for lunch and dinner, with a $6-$12 per person price range. Units have seating for about 50 and offer catering, delivery and online ordering services.  Locations are franchised and trade in CA and TX.

PEET’S COFFEE & TEA of Emeryville, CA (founded 1966) has increased by 82 units, from 237 to 319 (35% growth).  These are take-out coffee stores open for breakfast and lunch.  Per person check average is around $2-$6.  Locations are in CA, CO, HI, IL, KY, MA, MO, OR, PA, TX and WA.  We last reported on this concept on 9/20/2011 (1% growth).

RED MANGO based in Dallas, TX (founded 2002) has increased by 92 units, from 140 to 232 (66% growth) and expanded into CT, IA, KY, ME, MS, NM, PA, SD and TN.  These are quick serve yogurt shops open for lunch and dinner hours.  Per person check average is around $3-$8.  Locations are more than 90% franchised. Other trading areas are in AL, AR, AZ, CA, CO, CT, FL, GA, IL, IN, LA, MA, MD, MN, MO, NC, NE, NJ, NV, NY, OH, TX, UT, VA, WA and WI.  We reported on this concept on 8/2/11 (6% growth).
