America’s First Brazilian Steakhouse Expands Florida Footprint with Ground-Up Build, Opening May 28
Rodizio Grill, America’s First Brazilian Steakhouse, announces the grand opening of its newest location in Wesley Chapel, Florida on May 28, 2025. This marks the brand’s sixth location in Florida and its first ground-up construction, signaling a new era of growth and innovation for the company.
Founded in 1995, Rodizio Grill pioneered the Brazilian “churrasco” steakhouse experience in the United States. Over the past three decades, the brand has expanded to nearly 25 locations across 14 states, offering guests an authentic and unforgettable Brazilian dining experience.
Rodizio Grill of Wesley Chapel celebrated its first major milestone with a groundbreaking ceremony on May 14, 2024. The event drew a crowd of over 150 attendees, including local residents, Chamber of Commerce members, and media representatives.
“I was truly amazed by the overwhelming support and enthusiasm for Rodizio Grill’s arrival in Wesley Chapel,” said Charlie Haney, owner of Rodizio Grill Wesley Chapel. “We’re not only excited to open our doors and welcome the community, but also to actively contribute to the area’s growth – by creating jobs and supporting local initiatives in every way we can.” Over 60 full & part-time jobs will be created in the Wesley Chapel community.
“The Wesley Chapel location is a major milestone for us, not only because of the growing demand in Florida but because it represents the next chapter for our brand’s continued expansion,” said Ivan Utrera, Founder and President of Rodizio Grill.
Locally and nationally, Rodizio Grill is known for its playful Brazilian spirit, authentic menu offerings and family-friendly atmosphere. The unique concept features an all-inclusive experience with rotisserie-grilled meats, expertly seasoned and carved tableside by traditionally dressed Gauchos alongside an award-winning gourmet salad bar, authentic hot side dishes, and a range of handcrafted Brazilian drinks from fresh-pressed juices and Brazilian Limeades to signature cocktails as well as homemade Brazilian desserts. All served at a competitive price point that makes celebration accessible for the whole family.
Leading the new locations as General Manager, is Thiago Navarro, a native of Brazil, with over a decade of experience with Rodizio Grill. “Growing up in Brazil, many of my cherished memories were made at our local churrascaria – whether we were celebrating special occasions or simply enjoying time with family,” said Navarro. “Rodizio Grill captures the heart of those moments: the traditional flavors, the experience with the Gauchos, and the warm atmosphere. I’m incredibly proud to bring a piece of Brazil to Wesley Chapel and excited to share my passion for our culture and the authentic Rodizio Grill experience with this community.”
Rodizio Grill is located at 2082 Grand Cypress Drive in Lutz. The 9,250-square foot restaurant features several private and semi-private event spaces. Over 60 Full & Part Time Jobs will be created in the Wesley Chapel Community. To learn more and to make a reservation, visit Rodizio.com.
