Rudy’s “Country Store” and Bar-B-Q is holding an online auction of Rudy’s-branded Never Summer snowboards on eBay to raise funds for Colorado’s Wildfire Relief Fund. Rudy’s Bar-B-Q will auction off ten of the limited edition snowboards per week. Five for each of the two Long-Term Recovery Groups assisting Colorado’s wildfire victims until all the snowboards are sold. The two Long-Term Recovery Groups are the Pikes Peak Region Long-Term Recovery Group and the Long-Term Recovery Group of Northern Colorado. The Rudy’s Never Summer snowboards are available in three sizes (149, 158 and 163). The starting bid is $400.00.
“We partnered with Never Summer to design a special snowboard specifically to raise funds for the victims of the Colorado wildfires.” said Pete Bassett, VP of Operations at Rudy’s Bar-B-Q. “Having a location in Colorado Springs and as a Texas-based organization, we’ve seen firsthand the effects of wildfires to families and communities.”
The Rudy’s Never Summer snowboards are an original design that shows artwork of tree branches and the word, “Regrowth,” emphasizing the need to rebuild Colorado’s wildfire-stricken neighborhoods.
“We are thankful for the support that Rudy’s is showing for the victims of the Colorado wildfires especially at this time when there aren’t enough funds coming in for those in need. And as an avid snowboarder, these limited edition Never Summer snowboards are extremely cool,” stated Glenn Good, executive director of the Long Term Recovery Group of Northern Colorado.
“Rudy’s generosity will help many families affected by the wildfires recover through assistance with their unmet needs. We hope other private businesses will follow Rudy’s example,” added Michelle Swanson, executive director of the Pikes Peak Region Long Term Recovery Group.
The Long Term Recovery Group of Northern Colorado and Pikes Peak Region Long Term Recovery Group, which receives its funds through Pikes Peak Community Foundation, are accredited 501 (c)(3) organizations.
