Shoney’s Set To Express Its Deepest Gratitude for Veterans and Troops on Veterans Day by Giving Them a Free Choice of the Best Breakfast in Town or Its Famous All-American Burger

Shoney's Set To Express Its Deepest Gratitude for Veterans and Troops on Veterans Day by Giving Them a Free Choice of the Best Breakfast in Town or Its Famous All-American Burger

Shoney’s, a true pioneer and a decorated darling in the restaurant industry, is doubling down on its commitment to America’s heroes past and present this Veterans Day, Monday, November 11. For years, America’s Dinner Table offered a FREE All-American Burger to all veterans and active-duty military on their special Day. For a past couple of years, the beloved brand shifted gears and offered its freshly-prepared Legendary Breakfast Bar instead of the celebrated burger for FREE to military members. On Monday, that grand group can choose between the two.

“Generations have come to know Shoney’s as an American favorite for family dining and on this special day, we wanted to treat both breakfast and burger fans with The Best Breakfast in Town or our All-America Burger, freshly-prepared in their honor,” said Mr. David Davoudpour, Shoney’s Chairman and CEO, who proudly has an American flag welcoming guests upon entry at all of his company-owned Shoney’s. Continued Mr. Davoudpour, “Since its inception, Shoney’s has been an American dining treasure and for decades, our beloved brand has served as a ‘Welcome Home’ sign to America’s military. This Veterans Day will be our broadest offerings effort ever and we look forward to celebrating our heroes at Shoney’s.”

For more than 77 years, Shoney’s has collected industry accolades, beginning from day one. Shoney’s is consistently recognized as the premiere family dining restaurant, praised for having the best rating for value among all family dining chains while also being hailed for its service, menu variety and diners’ recommendations. It was most recently recognized as one of the most iconic diner chains in America.

Since acquiring the great American eatery in 2006, Mr. Davoudpour has been on a driven and spirited mission to reinvigorate and revitalize Shoney’s, a family-friendly, southern-style restaurant brand. Shoney’s is one of the first, and has always been one of the most popular, family casual dining concepts in the United States.

In order to get back to what Mr. Davoudpour confidently calls Shoney’s “Glory Days,” the brand is now growing through franchising, following an extensive revitalization effort. Shoney’s is offering franchising opportunities to qualified single and multi-unit candidates.
