A partnership rooted in gratitude and community spirit delivers meals to the men and women who serve
Sonny’s BBQ, the industry-leading BBQ restaurant rooted in quality food and spreading kindness, partnered with Operation BBQ Relief (OBR) for the third annual Feeding the Firefighters event. Over the course of two weeks, Sonny’s delivered its popular BBQ to approximately 600 firefighters at fire stations across Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Kentucky.
“It was an honor to team up with Operation BBQ Relief to feed the hardworking firefighters who bravely serve their communities all year long,” said Elden Scott, Chief Kindness Officer at Sonny’s BBQ. “It was our turn to serve and thank the men and women who make our communities strong, and we were grateful for the opportunity to deliver hot meals to so many of them.”

The partnership with OBR underscores Sonny’s ongoing commitment to spreading kindness through its “Q the Kindness” initiative, a company-wide effort to spread the spirit of BBQ and recognizing those who make a difference in their community. From feeding first responders to organizing community events, Sonny’s BBQ is dedicated to making a meaningful difference beyond the dining table.
Operation BBQ Relief, a nonprofit organization known for its large-scale disaster deployments and providing meals to those in need, shares Sonny’s dedication to service and community. The Feeding the Firefighters event is made possible by the dedicated network of OBR staff, volunteers and community partners like Sonny’s BBQ.
