Spicy Pickle Provides 22,000 Meals to Local Coloradoans Through a Fund-Raising Partnership With Food Bank of the Rockies and Mix 100 FM

Spicy Pickle Franchising, Inc., the Denver-based fast-casual restaurant franchising company, partnered with both Food Bank of the Rockies and Mix 100 FM to help fight hunger during the holidays.

In September, local Denver deejay celebrities Dom Testa and Jane London selected one of their favorite Spicy Pickle® sandwiches, the “Bandido” Panini, and then from September 27 to November 13, each local Spicy Pickle restaurant donated $1.00 from the sale of every Bandido Panini to Food Bank of the Rockies. The Bandido, one of Spicy Pickle Sandwich Company’s top selling gourmet sandwiches, is made with pepper-crusted turkey, pepperjack cheese, extra-virgin olive oil chipotle mayonnaise, roasted red peppers and sundried tomatoes on in-store baked rosemary focaccia bread. Stephanie Mehta, the sandwich company’s Director of Business Services, said, “This is such a great cause, and we were fortunate to have great partners help us with it. They were terrific.”

In total, Denver area Spicy Pickle restaurants donated nearly $5,700 to the Food Bank of the Rockies, which, according to the food bank, equates to over 22,000 meals for local Coloradoans. “We would really like to thank all our loyal Denver based guests and visitors for helping us with this food drive. The holidays are tough times for some families, and we are happy that we could inspire the community to join us in the effort to help,” said Mark Laramie, Chief Executive Officer for Spicy Pickle Sandwich Company.
