Taco Bell is starting 2026 by leaning into its “Lava” legacy. Beginning January 8, the brand is officially launching Volcano Sauce, a bold evolution of the fan-favorite Lava Sauce, and introducing the Volcano Quesarito to menus nationwide.
The Evolution of a Fan-Favorite
Volcano Sauce enters the menu as the modern successor to the brand’s legendary Lava Sauce. Developed as a creamy, cheesy blend infused with flavorful spices, the sauce is designed to meet the high heat expectations of dedicated spice chasers.

The Volcano Quesarito Returns
The new sauce takes center stage in the Volcano Quesarito, available for $4.99. This fan-demanded mashup features seasoned beef, rice, and reduced-fat sour cream wrapped inside a grilled quesadilla filled with melted cheese, Nacho Cheese sauce, and the new Volcano Sauce.
For those looking to customize their experience, Volcano Sauce can also be added to any menu item or purchased on the side for a limited time.
Rewards Member Exclusive: The Volcano Style Menu
In addition to the nationwide release of the Quesarito, Taco Bell is offering Rewards Members exclusive app-only access to a curated “Volcano Style” menu. This digital-first lineup applies the signature heat of Volcano Sauce to several brand classics:
