The holidays at Tocaya are officially underway, and the modern Mexican kitchen is serving up big flavor, undeniable comfort, and a lovely dose of nostalgia. Available now, Tocaya is celebrating the season by bringing back a longtime guest favorite – the Sweet Corn Tamales – and introducing a brand-new, soul-warming star: Red Pozole.
The Fan-Favorite Tamales Are Back!
It’s been a long time coming. The soft, savory, and entirely delicious Sweet Corn Tamales are back for the first time since 2019 by popular demand! The return of this seasonal treat fits perfectly with the current trend of nostalgia-driven comfort foods, and you can grab them through January 6th.
Chef Oliver Plust, executive corporate chef for Tocaya, emphasized the tradition behind the offering: “Tamales are rooted in tradition and meaning, and we take a lot of care making them for our guests to enjoy.”
Each tamale is house-made with sweet corn kernels, roasted poblano peppers, savory masa, and a bright roasted tomato salsa. The best part? They are plant-based, making them a perfect, guilt-free holiday treat. You can order them individually ($2.65), by the half-dozen ($14.95), or grab a full dozen ($28.95) for your next family gathering!
Introducing the Winter Warmer: Red Pozole
New to the holiday lineup, Tocaya’s Red Pozole is taking over as the ultimate winter warmer. This dish is hearty, deeply flavorful, and exactly what you crave when the temperatures drop.
It layers shredded chicken tinga, hominy, radish, and cabbage in a savory chile-spiced chicken broth, all topped off with cilantro, onion, and a essential squeeze of lime.
“Our pozole is warm and flavorful, and it’s the kind of dish that’s especially satisfying on cold winter days,” said Chef Plust.
You can enjoy the Red Pozole as a small cup ($5.75) or a larger bowl ($8.65), and it makes a perfect pairing with any Taco or Torta Combo.
Both the returning tamales and the new pozole are now available at all Tocaya locations for a limited time. If you’re planning a cozy night in or hosting a holiday get-together, Tocaya’s winter menu is blending modern Mexican cuisine with classic holiday comfort!
