November fundraising initiative benefits Baton Rouge chapter of Komen Foundation
Walk-On’s Enterprises announced today that it will donate $3,402 to the Susan G. Komen Foundation following its fundraising initiative in October at all Walk-On’s Bistreaux & Bar locations throughout Louisiana.
Walk-On’s will present a check to the Baton Rouge chapter of the foundation, whose mission is to save lives and end breast cancer forever by empowering others, ensuring quality care for all and investing in science to find the cures.
The “Best Sports Bar in North America” donated $3 from every $6 “Tata-Tini” Cosmo its customers purchased during the month of October to the Komen Foundation. All four Walk-On’s locations in Baton Rouge, Lafayette and New Orleans participated in the fundraiser.
“We didn’t decorate our restaurants in pink, but we went all-in on raising funds for breast cancer research,” said Scott Taylor, president and COO of Walk-On’s Enterprises. “The Tata-Tini is one of our most popular drinks, so it was the perfect item to feature for the campaign. We appreciate all our employees and our customers for pitching in and helping us do our part to fight the scourge of breast cancer.”
Walk-On’s Enterprises is arguably the most distinctive restaurant company in America. Its concepts are fresh, fun and original, from Walk-On’s Bistreaux & Bar — voted ESPN’s “Best Sports Bar in North America” — to Happy’s Irish Pub and Walk-On’s Catering. Additional growth lies ahead, as the company expands on its winning combination of delicious, affordable food and drinks presented in an uncommonly warm and friendly atmosphere.
