Ziosk Completes Installation of Tabletop Tablets at Olive Garden Restaurants Nationwide

Ziosk Strengthens Restaurant Payment Security Through Industry-First Point-to-Point Encryption at More Than 800 Olive Garden Restaurants

Ziosk, maker of the world’s first ordering, entertainment and pay-at-the table tablet, and Olive Garden today announced the completed rollout of tabletop tablets at more than 800 restaurants nationwide. All tablets are compatible with Point-to-Point Encryption (P2PE), offering the highest level of payment security for its guests.

Ziosk’s 7-inch touchscreen tablets allow Olive Garden guests to browse the menu, order drinks, appetizers and desserts, and pay checks at their convenience. Ziosk tablets also feature interactive activities such as zTrivia, a Ziosk-developed game updated bi-weekly with questions from current news and events, designed to bring family and friends together as they share a meal.

“We are very proud to have our Ziosk tablets on Olive Garden tables across the country and particularly to have completed this installation in advance of our end of year timetable,” said Austen Mulinder, Ziosk CEO. “Today’s consumer is increasingly embracing technology for convenience, more control and entertainment, and Olive Garden is as the forefront of identifying ways to seamlessly integrate these benefits into their guest dining experience.”

Ziosk also recently launched an industry-leading security solution, featuring Point-to-Point Encryption technology that further ensures sensitive credit card data is protected from first card swipe, while in transit and all the way to payment providers. Olive Garden is the first national restaurant concept to adopt this technology at all their locations through Ziosk.

“The addition of Ziosk tablets has helped enhance our guests’ dining experience, resulting in higher overall satisfaction scores,” said Dave George, Olive Garden president. “The technology creates efficiencies that allow our servers to focus more on our guests to create memorable dining experiences.”

Commanding 95 percent market share in the deployed tabletop tablet space, Ziosk tablets are currently in more than 2,500 restaurants across all 50 states. By the year’s end Ziosk will have fully deployed its newest contracts, totaling over 150,000 new Ziosk tablets interacting with more than 50 million guests per month, and demonstrating Ziosk’s continued momentum in the restaurant industry.
