The cake-style mini donut franchise has landed in Tampa this year, marking the very first mobile franchise location for the brand.

The food truck concept will be hitting the road in Tampa this year, led by franchise partner Susie Tuttle.

The company, which was first founded and launched as a mobile “donut wagon” in 2015 by husband and wife team Joe and Karissa Tuttle, is approaching its 10th anniversary as it sets out to add new trucks to its fleet, new brick-and-mortar stores to its location list, and new franchisees to its network.

“This actually marks 9 years we’ve been doing our food trucks, and I can’t think of a better way to celebrate than bringing our minis and award-winning coffee to Joe’s hometown and with his mom running it! I’ve got to say — the perfect retirement job,” commented Karissa Tuttle. “Tampa is where my husband is from and it made sense for us to add our first mobile franchise to the city. Nice weather all year. Family is there. Sunny weather, donuts, and coffee — the perfect trio.”

Simply Done Donuts can currently be found in the Atlanta area nestled in Duluth as a full-time donut shop. Its deliciously unique food truck can be hired for catering, not only for slinging minis during events, but for serving donut sundaes and coffee drinks as well.

What’s up next for the brand? Simply Done Donuts is seeking new franchisees to join its fleet of trucks and locations. All franchise partners receive in-depth training, vendor connections, recipes, branding elements, ongoing operational support, and more.

As the brand grows its franchise footprint, the founders will continue to add new locations and trucks to their corporate-owned units.

“Now with our new Tampa mobile unit off our plate and in sweet hands, we are going to finish building our third truck, with two more in line, which brings us to five trucks by the end of 2024 — pinching myself,” Karissa added.
