Rip It and Dip It: Son of a Butcher Partners with King's Hawaiian for New Menu CollaborationAttention, Texas food fanatics: the collaboration you didn’t know you needed just dropped, and it’s built for dunking. Son of a Butcher (SoB), known for those craveable smash patties, has joined forces with the legendary King’s Hawaiian to create the Rip It & Dip It slider series. They’re taking SoB’s signature sliders, swapping the regular bun for that iconic King’s Hawaiian sweet roll, and pairing each one with a bold dipping sauce—or, more accurately, an insane dipping queso.

This limited-time menu isn’t playing around. The whole point is to tear off a piece of your slider and submerge it deep into a custom-made queso. It’s the perfect exploration of sweet-and-savory balance, all wrapped up in a handheld, highly dippable format. According to Brandon Braddick, Director of Operations for Son of a Butcher, this partnership gave them the perfect chance to push the boundaries, noting that “Guests are going to be obsessed.”

The Rip It & Dip It series runs from October 20 through November 30 and features three distinct flavor drops, giving you a new reason to visit every few weeks:

Hatch Chile (Oct. 20 – Nov. 2): This one starts with a beef smash patty, white American cheese, caramelized onions, and hatch chiles. It comes with a queso blanco blended with even more hatch chiles and a kick of green Tabasco. Perfect for those who like a little fire with their flavor.

Mushroom Chimichurri (Nov. 3 – Nov. 16): Next up, you get a patty piled with sautéed wild mushrooms and a hit of chimichurri. The dipping sauce is a chimichurri queso blanco that’s going to add a vibrant, herbaceous punch to that sweet King’s Hawaiian roll.

Spicy Pepper (Nov. 17 – Nov. 30): Closing out the series is a slider featuring a hot pepper blend, pickled onions, and basil. Naturally, the dipping sauce is an intense house hot-sauce queso blanco. This is how you end a limited-time run – with a bang!

You only have until the end of November to snag these flavor bombs, so start plotting your attack now. We know one thing for sure: these two brands just raised the bar for what a slider can be.
